Must-Have Items:
Crib and crib mattress
Pack N Play with a travel bassinet. The one we have, I LOVE IT!
Stroller
Infant carseat
Carseat for when they outgrow the infant carseat
A Diaper bag. Here’s the one I have that I AM OBSESSED WITH. Highly recommend. Fits so much stuff!
A breast pump if your insurance does not cover it
Miss Mouth's Messy Eater Stain Treater Spray. The BEST thing ever!
Babylist’s Baby Bottle Box
A breastfeeding pillow
Baby Wipe Holder. The one we have, it doesn’t need to be a wipe warmer!
A baby monitor
A Sound machine
A diaper pail for the nursery. Here’s the one I have!
Humidifier.
Baby bathtub if you can’t fit baby in the sink and/or if you only have showers in your house! Here’s the one we have!
Puppy Pee Pads
Batteries
Ladybug Haaka. I just used the Ladybug Haaka and I had two, used them every day!
A Food Service Delivery Subscription
Ubereats and doordash giftcards
Breast Pads. I really liked these reusable ones that I had!
Taking Cara Baby Newborn Care Class
Montessori Toy Subscription
Diapers (put like 1 box of size 1 and 1 box of size 2 on your registry)
A high chair. Here’s the one we have!
Bowls, plates, cups, bibs and silverware!
A baby activity center. To be honest, we got our’s off of FB marketplace for $5
A stroller cover bag for flights (make sure it’s compatible with the stroller you’re wanting!)
Baby play pen
Baby gates if you have a multi level home or dogs
Add a baby carrier or a baby wrap. Here’s the one we have!
An audible gift card
Gift card to a nice restaurant (for the first date night without baby post baby)
A potty training potty
A jogging stroller
Drawer dividers to help you organize your drawers in the dresser of the nursery!
Over the door closet hangers for more storage!
Items To Skip Adding:
Johnson and Johnson baby wash
Neft baby detergent
Any baby monitor that is on wifi
Wipe warmer
Changing table (if you have the space, I would opt for a dresser instead because it holds so much more and then get a changing pad to put on top of the dresser)
Pacifiers- people will give you pacifiers! Its like the “go-to” shower gift
Baby blanket- ANOTHER go-to shower gift, you’ll have more than you will know what to do with, so don’t add them on your registry. Remember, it’s all about strategy
Bottle sterilizer (unless you’re already 100% planning on formula feeding or pumping)
Baby clothes
